Double Irish Chain Quilt

November 23, 2009

I spent most of Saturday chain piecing my Double Irish Chain quilt. The blocks at 15 in square and the individual squares are 3 inches. So far, I’ve completed 6 six of block A and 3 of block B. I suppose I’ll add another 5 blocks or so to make a generous lay quilt.

All in all, this was pretty simple and relatively fast because the blocks are so large. The best part was not having to worry about pressing every thing is a specific direction because two of the rows in block A are pieced inversely.
